Summing Up 2023: 148 Million shekels raised for dozens of projects in Jerusalem
The Jerusalem Foundation is finishing 2023 with a significant increase in fundraising for the benefit of every population in Jerusalem. Additionall, the Jerusalem Foundation’s Emergency Programing, created in response to the war, which has benefited more than 250 thousand people.
With the outbreak of the war on Oct. 7, the Jerusalem Foundation established an emergency fund to help the most vulnerable populations affected by the tragic events that occured in the State of Israel since October 7. The emergency fund helps the residents of Jerusalem who need urgent help, the families of the fallen and the injured, essential workers who needed assistance and of course, evacuees from the south and the north who found refuge in the city. The Jerusalem Foundation built connections with about 100 cultural and community institutions from all over the city, we were able to reach tens of thousands of people including 30,000 evacuees staying in the city’s hotels.
