Jazz in Jerusalem

Jerusalem: a city famous for its ancient sites, and…jazz?

Yes, jazz!

This week, from December 14-16, Jerusalem is celebrating its second annual International Jazz Festival, which draws leading jazz talent from Jerusalem and around the globe for a series of jazz concerts at the Israel Museum.

This year’s festival included international headliners: The Jeff Ballard Trio, Rickie Lee Jones, the Mark Turner Quartet, Felipe Cabrero and Leonardo Montana, Too Many Zooz, Jason Lindner, and more.

The festival, hosted by the Israel Museum and produced by the Israel Festival, in partnership with the Yellow Submarine, at the initiative of the Jerusalem Foundation, is reflective of the Jerusalem Foundation’s ongoing role fostering collaboration between the city’s cultural institutions and cooperation between local and international artists.

The Jerusalem Foundation is proud to support jazz in Jerusalem, as part of its ongoing efforts to shape a Jerusalem as a thriving cultural center and a modern, vibrant metropolis that remains a source of inspiration for residents and visitors alike.
