Wohl Rose Park located in the heart of the government complex nestled between the Knesset, government offices, the Supreme Court and the Israel Museum.

Initially the park was called the President’s Park, intended for state ceremonies only, so the public was not allowed to enter it at all. It was only during the 1960s, following a public struggle, that the garden was opened to the public.

In 1978 it was renamed the Rose Garden and subsequently the Wohl Rose Garden in honor of the contribution of Vivienne and Maurice Wohl and the Jerusalem Foundation.

The garden is considered the largest and most representative garden in Israel for roses, with 15,000 rose bushes of 400 different varieties. The roses in the garden are scattered in sections according to countries, with signs explaining the type of roses and their origin in each section.

The options of commemoration at The Wohl Rose Park include seating areas and more

Subject to approval of the Jerusalem Municipality and the Wohl Foundation.
