About the project
The Youth Communities Project was a municipal effort to develop a greater awareness of the Jewish tradition among the city’s Jewish schoolchildren and to integrate religious and secular Jewish youth. Groups of 20-35 children met at youth centers in Talpiot, Kiryat Hayovel, Ramat Eshkol, Romema, Katamon and Ramot and undertook community and volunteer projects, including building a sukkah, working on a neighborhood clean-up program, and helping underprivileged families.
