About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation supported a program beginning in 1977 to provide enrichment activities for children living in Arab neighborhoods of the city. Three leaders ran after school activities three days/week, including arts and crafts, music, dance and sports programs. The program attracted approximately 1,000 students each year at schools including those in Jabel Mukaber, A-Tur, Beit Hanina, Issawiya, Silwan, Beit Safafa and elsewhere.
