About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation joined with the Joint Distribution Committee Israel and the Association of Community Centers and Councils to provide social and cultural activities for thousands of families who left their homes in northern Israel to stay with family and friends in Jerusalem during the Hizbollah War in the summer of 2006. The program provided ticket subsidies to the Ein Ya’el Living Museum, the Tower of David Museum of the History of Jerusalem, the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem and the Bernard M. Bloomfield Science Museum, and subsidized children’s participation in summer camps and community center programs.
