About the project
Every child waits for the last day of school and the start of the summer vacation. Most Community Centers provide a summer camp for their neighborhood, as well independent cultural institutions , organizations and centers in Jerusalem. The Spafford Community Center Summer Camp in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City caters to approximately 205 children during the first 3 weeks of July. The children get to enjoy sports, arts & crafts, and games and activities in the community garden with inflateable playground equipment, especially brought in for the summer holidays. The children also enjoy a number of special outings, and tours, like visiting the pool at the Neve Shalom Jewish-Arab village, or to the “House of Dreams” Amusement Park.
