About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation has supported several projects to aid the city’s network of community centers over the years, including building renovations, afterschool activities and adult programs. In 1974, it supported babysitting services at 13 community centers to enable adults to participate in courses and other adult activities. In 1982, with the help of numerous donors through the Teddy Kollek Endowment Fund, it supported homework help and enrichment activities such as sports, music and art. During periods of political unrest, the Foundation has provided support for increased security and additional services.
