About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation has provided support to the Hoichman and Homenetmen Community Clubs that serve the approximately 1,500 Armenians living in the Old City’s Armenian Quarter. The Homenetmen Club was established in 1918 in Constantinople, Turkey. Today there are 100 chapters world-wide, including this one, established in 1935. The clubs provides scouts, sports, educational, holiday programs and more. The Jerusalem Foundation provided furnishings and equipment for the clubs and supported the publication of a quarterly newsletter.
