About the project
Bayit Cham (Warm House) is an organization founded in 1981 to protect at-risk children and teenagers and to help them absorb into society by providing informal drop-in centers and creative arts and cultural programs. The organization works with more than 1,000 teens and children at risk in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Beit Shean and other locations. It also operates a training institute for professionals working in the field. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported renovation of a Bayit Cham club for immigrant youth and an annual course in pedagogical, psychological and sociological methods for counselors.
