About the project
The Bir-Ayyoub Library was one of three municipal branch libraries created for Arabic readers after 1967. The Jerusalem Foundation renovated an existing building in lower Silwan to create the facility in 1975. The library was incorporated into the Jerusalem Central Library when completed in 1992.
