About the project
Concerto No.1 for Stainless Steel & Marble is a sculpture of small, minimalist benches located at a traffic circle in Old Katamon. Part of the work (4 benches) is located here, while the rest is located at the Mishkenot Sha’ananim Cultural Center & Guest House. The work was created by designer Ron Gilad (b. 1972, Tel Aviv), who is known for developing one-of-a-kind objects. After studying and working in Israel, he moved to New York where in 2001 he co-founded the design firm Designfenzider.
