About the project
The Counseling Forum is a program designed to help schools meet the psychological needs of their students. The project began by providing psychologists to elementary schools. Partly in response to the pressures and fears students faced during the Al-Aqsa (Second) Intifada, the program developed into a more comprehensive effort to develop skills among school teachers, guidance counselors, administrators, psychologists and social workers. The staff members meet regularly in open forums to discuss issues and develop solutions involving students and parents.
