About the project
The El-Rashidiya High School is the oldest and the only boys’ high school serving the Old City’s Muslim Quarter. The school is located opposite the Old City walls near Herod’s Gate and includes a main historic building and several later additions. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported renovations and improvements at the school at various times, including repairing walls, painting and purchasing furnishings in 1976, and renovating a hall that serves as a gymnasium and auditorium in 1980. In 1995, it created a computer laboratory.
