About the project
Enosh, the Israel Mental Health Association, was founded in 1978 to assist the mentally ill and their families. Enosh provides housing, support groups, clubs, counseling and educational and lobbying activities through 53 local branches. The organization’s Jerusalem branch, one of its largest and most developed, includes five social clubs that operate at the Enosh House and in community centers, a sheltered housing program that serves more than 70 people living in rented apartments around the city and rehabilitation programs. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported several Enosh programs over the years, including its Yachad (Together) Club for young adults, and its Milfi Creative Arts Center, an alternative rehabilitation center that offers classes in painting, sculpture, creative writing, singing and drama.
