About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation supported emergency aid projects following the wave of terror attacks in the city during the First Intifada (1987-1993). Programs included psychological services for elementary and junior high students and enrichment activities for at-risk youth and the elderly held in schools and community centers in Jerusalem’s outlying neighborhoods in close proximity to the pre-1967 border: Gilo, East Talpiot, Neve Ya’acov, Pisgat Ze’ev, French Hill and Ramot. The Foundation also provided direct financial support to victims’ families.
