About the project
The International Harp Contest in Israel was founded by A. Z. Propes in 1959. Since then, harpists from all over the world have taken part in the competition, which is held every three years in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The competition is the only one of its kind. It was established in Jerusalem, because of the city’s connection to the harp playing King David.
