About the project
The Interreligious Coordinating Council is an umbrella organization founded in 1991 for institutions and individuals promoting interreligious and intercultural understanding in Israel. The organization strives to strengthen and broaden good relations among different faith communities through its work with Christian, Muslim, and Jewish institutions, Jewish-Arab co-existence organizations, museums, universities, and other interfaith organizations. The council sponsors dialogue events, public lectures and youth encounters, and publishes books and other materials on interfaith issues. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported dialogue meetings between women from east and west Jerusalem.
