About the project
The Jerusalem Center for Child & Family Developmental Habilitation was established in 1971 on Strauss Street in Mekor Baruch as an inter-disciplinary care center for children up to age six. The center provided evaluation and diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, training and research for families with children with emotional problems, mental retardation, neurological, nutritional and genetic problems and social problems of neglect and abuse. The Jerusalem Foundation initially provided furnishings and equipment for the center, and established the Solo Grinberg Dental Clinic to meet the special needs of children with disabilities at the center in 1977. Later, the center moved and grew into the Jerusalem Variety Center for Child & Family Development. The original facility became a Hadassah health clinic.
