About the project
The Jerusalem Conference on Israel, the Middle East & Islam is an annual two-day conference established in 2002 and organized by the Hebrew University’s Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace. The Jerusalem Foundation supported the 2003 conference, which was held in honor of Professor Emeritus Bernard Lewis, one of the foremost experts on Middle Eastern studies. More than 1,000 attended the conference, where presentors from Israel and abroad discussed topics including democracy, civil society and communications.
