About the project
The Jewish Quarter Religious Elementary School is the only co-educational public elementary school located in the Old City’s Jewish Quarter. The school, known locally as the Rova (Quarter) School, is located at the Batei Machsei Square. While it originally served children living in the Jewish Quarter,i n recent years it has attracted many immigrant families from English-speaking countries from many Jerusalem neighborhoods due to its historic location, small class size and reputation for high quality education.The Jerusalem Foundation supported creation of a computer laboratory in the school in 1986 and purchased books for the school library in 1993 and 1996.
