About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation created the Joint Jewish & Arab High School Program in 1980 to bring together Jewish and Arab schoolchildren and teachers to participate in joint programs, trips and cultural events. In its first year, the program included high schools in Beit Safafa and the Katamonim neighborhoods. In later years, it expanded to include joint art projects, summer trips and afterschool activities for children and teenagers from neighboring Jewish and Arab communities, including East Talpiot and Jabel Mukaber and Ramot and Beit Hanina.
