About the project
The Joseph & Ceil Mazer Park is a linear, sculpture park that extends from the Moshe Salz Park near the Israel Museum to the Bernard M. Bloomfield Science Museum along Ruppin Boulevard. The park, which was designed by Zvi Pfeffer, includes an upper walkway that features several pieces of modern sculpture and a lower path set within pine trees and shade pergolas. Sculpture that has been located in the park includes: The Loop, an abstract bronze sculpture created by American sculptor, printmaker and sketch artist Robert Engman (b. 1927); an untitled steel sculpture created by Haifa-born sculptor and painter Yehiel Shemi (1922-2003) in 1982, and a bronze sculpture entitled Square Forms with Circles created by British abstract sculptor Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975) in 1963.
