About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation created the Joseph Kraus Garden & Youth Club by renovating a bomb shelter in the Nachalat Achim section of Nachla’ot in 1980. The youth club provided art classes, sports, social events and holiday celebrations to approximately 200 neighborhood children and teenagers. The adjacent garden also was developed, including the planting of roses, replacement of benches and installation of lighting.
