About the project
Kiryat David is an education, recreation and sports complex established in honor of the centennial year of David Ben-Gurion. The complex includes the Aran Elementary School, the Ge’ulim Gimel Elementary School, the Lazarus Youth Center, the Talpiot Community Club, a sport hall and an outdoor sportcourt. The Jerusalem Foundation helped establish the complex by renovating the schools, youth center and the surrounding area. Hundreds of neighborhood children, many of whom are Ethiopian immigrants from nearby housing projects, attend school and meet for afterschool activities at the complex.
