About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation established the Lazarus Youth Center (also called Beit Lazarus) to provide space for afterschool youth activities in the Talpiot neighborhood. The center, which is located between the Aran and Ge’ulim Gimel Schools, includes several activity rooms. In 1986, it was incorporated into the Kiryat David education, recreation and sports complex. It continues to serve neighborhood children, particularly Ethiopian youth from nearby housing projects. The center is under the auspices of the Baka-Mekor Cha’im Community Center.
