About the project
The Leonard Bernstein Competition was a series of annual music competitions held in Jerusalem in memory of Maestro Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990), the renowned American composer, conductor and pianist, and avid supporter of Israel. The competition included several categories: oratorio and song, composition and conducting.
