About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation established the Lillian Feinberg Children’s Culture & Art Center in a renovated kindergarten building in Gilo Bet in 1995 to broaden kindergarten-age children’s exposure to the arts. Children from more than 30 kindergarten classes attend sessions at the center, where they paint, draw, dance, watch performances and more. In the 2003-2004 school year, more than a thousand children attended programs at the center. Since its establishment, the Jerusalem Foundation has supported the periodic purchase of equipment for the center and center activities, including trips to museums and theaters and visits by artists. The center is one of two such facilities created by the Jerusalem Foundation.
