About the project
MAASTRICHT GARDEN is a gift from the people of Maastrich to the the people of Jerusalem. Dedicated on the 27TH March 1995 in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix and his Royal Highness Prince Claus, and the Vice Mayor of Maastricht.
This garden also hosts its own piece of sculpture created by artist Apie Drielsma, who was also present at the dedication
Cast in bronze, the square, and freestanding sculpture depicts the 12 tribes of Israel.
