About the project
The Mount of Olives Armenian Bible Center is a study and research institute established in 1982 by Archbishop Shahe Ajemian (1926-2005) that focuses on the Armenian translation of the Bible and Armenian Church canons. The Jerusalem Foundation provided support toward the center’s publication of a new critical edition of the Armenian Bible in 1991.The publication was prepared collaboratively by scholars from Armenia, the United States, Canada and Israel (Hebrew University) under the Archbishop’s direction.
