About the project
The ORT Spanien Technological High School is a boys religious vocational high school that shares a facility with the Kedma School (formerly the Ma’aleh School) in the Katamon Chet neighborhood. The school was established in 1973 and the ORT Israel network of 159 schools throughout Israel in 1986.The school serves approximately 500 students in grades 9-12. The Jerusalem Foundation supported construction a gymnasium at the school for use by both students and neighborhood residents in 1976. In 1999, it supported renovations and the purchase of equipment to create an Educational Robotics & Control Systems Laboratory for the study of automobile computer control systems. The laboratory includes 20 work stations, furnishings and equipment such as automobile engines, computer control systems, robots, instruments and computers.
