About the project
They “Playground Roundup” program in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood was created as a protected framework for neighborhood children. Run by National Service volunteers the program provides after school activities in parks and gardens, which includes sports activities games social activities and arts and crafts. The children are also encouraged to keep their neighborhood environment clean by clearing away accumalated gargbage in their gardens and parks, giving them a sense of pride, responsibilty and belonging.
The program is under the auspices of the local community center, with the aim of preventing the development of delinquent behavior and keeping the children out of harms way.
