About the project
The Richard I. & Dorothy S. Rubin Garden is a plaza located just inside Damascus Gate next to the main outdoor market, in an area that had become severely decayed following centuries of neglect. The plaza originally included decorative stone paving, pergolas, benches and landscaping. Over the years, shops have spilled over into it, making it an extension of the lively Damascus Gate outdoor market.
