About the project

The Rose Music Library is a reference and lending music library–the first of its kind in Jerusalem. The library lends cds, audio and video cassettes of classical, jazz, pop and ethnic music, and offers on-site listening and music appreciation programs. It is located in an annex to the Carmelli School (later the Adam School), which is used in the afternoons by the Jerusalem Conservatory of Music & Arts-Hasadna. Creation of the library included purchase of furniture, equipment and more than 1,000 cds and tapes. Since the library’s establishment, the Jerusalem Foundation has supported the library’s educational programs for children.
