About the project
SPINNING GRANITE SPHERE a gift of the Joseph L. and Emily K. Gidwitz Memorial Foundation Through the Jewish United Fund/The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.
At the entrance to the Bloomfield Science Museum there is a solid granite ball weighing five tons and “riding” on nothing but a carpet of water. Onlookers of all ages are so fascinated by the Sphere rotating in water, that they linger just that bit longer at the entrance plaza to the museum.
