About the project
SWISS GARDEN – GARDEN OF NATIONS Dedicated on the 17th May 1998 in the presence of the President of the Confederation of Switzerland Mrs Renata Cotti.
The Swiss garden was especially designed for the visually impaired, with the plaques also being added in braille. All of the roses and plants in this section were chosen specifically for their fragrance.
The sculpture in this garden is a bronze ring standing on 3 legs and embossed with “forever running horses”. The surface of the horses are raised, which enhances the tactile effect of the sculpture, and in the cente, a tree. This is a reproduction of a Hans Erni Sculpture.
