About the project
Zurich Garden is located on the southwestern slopes of Mount Zion where it connects with the Hinnom Valley. It was one of the first gardens completed as part of the Jerusalem Gardens National Park. Work to create the original garden consisted primarily of tree planting. In 1989, the garden was expanded to cover a 5-acre area including a pedestrian path that leads from the foot of the slope of Mount Zion to an observation point half-way up with small patios, benches and new retaining walls, plantings and improved drainage.
