Opened in 1981, the Jerusalem Cinematheque has become of the Jerusalem’s key cultural institutions.
The Cinematheque,, located at the slopes of Valley of Hinnom at the foot of the walls of the old city, was founded due to the vision of Lia and Vim Van Leer together with George Ostrovsky, the Jerusalem Foundation and the Van Leer Foundation. The Cinematheque hosts the Jerusalem international film festival, which draws creators from the film industry from all around the world.
The options of commemoration at the Cinematheque include seating areas inside or outside the building, the gallery, lobby and many more.
