The Jerusalem Foundation Board of Directors are excited to announce the appointment of a new International President for the Jerusalem Foundation.   We are still mourning the unexpected loss of our dedicated and devoted leader, Shai Doron, z’l.  Yet, we have continued to work for Jerusalem with all of our energy and enthusiasm, as we know Shai would have wanted.   And now, we can share the update about our incoming President, Arik (Aharon) Grebelsky who will officially take on this new role from January 1, 2025.

 
 

Arik Grebelsky is a leading Israeli businessman, industrialist and social entrepreneur in Jerusalem.  He is the third-generation owner and CEO of Jerusalem Marble A. Grebelsky & Son, Inc., renowned for producing Jerusalem stone, supplying stone for notable projects across Israel, including the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Hurva Synagogue, and the National Library, among others.

 
 

He is a long-time social impact leader, involved in a breadth of major nonprofit social, communal, and educational endeavors in Israel, and abroad.  He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Jerusalem Foundation since 2020 and has also been involved with New Spirit/HaMiffal Art and Society Center, as well as Friends of the Zoo Association, SAHI (Special Hessed Unit) organization for at-risk youth, Hadassah Academic College, Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball team, Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind and other social enterprises.  He holds an MBA honors degree from Bar Ilan University and lives in Jerusalem with his family.
