About the project
Beit Rachel Strauss is a high school for 32 mentally and developmentally disabled students, aged 13-21. Students have moderate to severe mental retardation and accompanying disabilities such as epilepsy, blindness and autism. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported the school’s Therapeutic Kitchen and photography program, which is operated in conjunction with the Naggar School of Photography & New Media. The school is located on the premises of the Mekor Chayim School, formerly the ORT Kennedy Apprenticeship Center.
