About the project
The Bertha Zaidenberg Lee Memorial Park, together with the Peggy & Tex Weiner Gardens, form a ten-acre park located in the central valley of the Gilo Gimel (Kiryat Jack D. Weiler) neighborhood. The park is built on steep topography, offering panoramic views of the city. It was designed by architect Shlomo Aronson to fit into the natural setting. One enters the park at street level, then descends to an intermediate level with a lawn, picnic area, rose garden and playground adorned with whimsical sculpture by prominent Israeli artist David Gerstein (b.1944, Jerusalem). Further below, the park gives way to the natural landscape.
