Gilo

About the project

Kiryat Jack D. Weiler (Jack D. Weiler Hill) is the Gilo Gimel neighorhood, the third area developed in Gilo, begun in 1983. The neighborhood covers an area of 65 acres, of which 37 were designated for housing (up to 5,000 residents), 10 for a central park and 18 for a forest. The neighborhood includes several Jerusalem Foundation-supported community facilities: the Ben Swig Day Care Center, the Lisa & William Wishnick Kindergarten, the Beit Ya’acov Synagogue, the Gilo Gimel Elementary School, Beit Sherman (Beit Bruri’a), the Bertha Zaidenberg Lee Memorial Park and the Peggy & Tex Weiner Gardens.
