About the project

The Jerusalem Foundation supported a program beginning in 1990 to extend the hours of preschools at community centers with large concentrations of children of recent immigrants form the former Soviet Union. The program provided transportation to and from each preschool, hot meals, Russian-speaking teachers and assistants and enrichment activities, including storytelling and music for approximately 100 children each year.
