About the project

The Jerusalem Foundation supported establishment of the Friedland Public Library in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City in 1978. The project included construction of two single-story buildings designed to blend with the historic character of the Jewish Quarter, and purchase of furnishings and equipment. The library is located up a set of stairs from the Dr. Hymie Moross Community Center.
