About the project

The Gideon Dental Clinic was created in the former Wick Mother & Child Care Center in 1988 to serve residents of Nachla’ot, primarily the many poor and elderly residents who otherwise would receive no dental care. The clinic’s opening was celebrated with a public Dental Health Fair, the first ever in the city. Since the clinic’s establishment, the Foundation has provided annual support to subsidize visits by underprivileged children (95% of the clinic’s patients are on welfare) and to purchase equipment. It supported renovation and refurbishment of the facility in 2007 that included building repairs, the addition of a treatment room and a waiting room, and the purchase of equipment.
