About the project

HUMAN LIFE AND DIGNITY- ETHICS CONFERENCE KACC The first Jerusalem Bi-annual Conference on Human Life and Dignity was held in January 2004 with the generous assistance of the State of Hessen, Germany. The lectures were held in the Gilbert de Botton Auditorium. The Academic Director of the Conference was Prof. Asa Kasher and Laura Schwarz-Kipp Professor of Professional Ethics and Philosophy of Practice Tel Aviv University. The conference hosted international and Israeli experts on three topics, Medicine: At the end of Life Physician assisted suicide, Military: Just War Doctrine after September 11th, Law: A Childs Life and Dignity. The Conference not only worked on examining the ethical dilemmas’ but on suggesting solutions, which would not just stay the theories of scholars, to this aim The Jerusalem Center for Ethics publishes the proceedings
