About the project

Jewish Arab Science Club at the Bloomfield Science Museum
gives children an opportunity to become aquainted with each others culture, and break down social prejudices and stereotypes .
The participants are elementary school children aged between 10 – 12. they are accompained by their teachers, who along with the museum staff, also participate in the planning of the program for the whole school year.
The activities of the club promote a greater interest in science while tweaking the curiosity of young minds as how things work.
Some of the activities include chemistry in everyday life, optical illusions, what we see is not always what we think we see, building construction and how it’s done. Energy, which in todays world is an important subject of debate, what are our options, what is clean energy, and how does it work. The children also take part in social activites, having fun, doing things together and getting to know each other better
