About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation created the Joint Jewish & Arab Youth Activities Fund in 1979 to support and develop programs to build bonds between Arab and Jewish youth, one-on-one. Over the years, hundreds of projects, including summer camps, sports clubs, art, music and folklore activities have been carried out, providing rare opportunities for joint activities for thousands of Jewish and Arab children. Venues have included the Beit Alpert Youth Music Center, the Djanogly Visual Arts Center, the Train Theater, the Ein Yael Living Museum, the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem, the Bernard M. Bloomfield Science Museum, Habama Theater and Liberty Bell Garden.
