About the project
Young adults from around the world make aliyah to Israel each year. They are at different stages of life – some are looking to attend university, others hope to find their first job, or to build on already established career. But wherever they have come from and whatever they seek to achieve, immigrants in the 18-35 age range all need guided assistance in finding what they need most: a place to live, ways to be self-sufficient, and like-minded individuals to provide a sense of security as they settle into their new homeland. The Koschitzky Young Adults Centre has become the address that provides this assistance. Indeed, just a few months into its programming, Project Connect has already aided its first group of new immigrants, a nucleus of 30 young men and women from the U.S. and Canada, by helping them to settle together in one of the communities designated by the Centre as a target “Jerusalem Young Neighborhood.”
