About the project
Promoting Literature was an annual, multi-year project to promote literature among young people and to introduce Jews and Arabs to each other’s literature. The proejct involved bringing children to Hebrew and Arabic productions of the Jerusalem Khan Theater and Al-Kasaba Theater, facilitating encounters between Arab authors and Jewish high school students through the Adam Institute for Democracy & Peace, and holding meetings between Jewish and Arab writers at Confederation House and the Jerusalem Central Library.
